Even after years of technological investments, companies continue to have difficulty drawing from their data. In one Global survey among 1,200 managers and IT decision-makers called 55 percent of the respondents poor data quality than their biggest challenge. Almost half of them find it difficult to harmonize data across several environments.

Increasing demand for SAP Business Data Cloud

Since the market launch, we have made progress to support customers and to move their switch to a data fabric for the management of business data.

SAP Business Data Cloud have already introduced several companies and expect considerable advantages. The Swedish steel distributor Tibnor is, for example, the first customer to use SAP Business Data Cloud productively, and plans to integrate SAP data into third-party systems in order to be able to react faster to changing market conditions.

Dag Åselius, Senior IT Advisor and long -time former CIO at Tibnor, said: “We always tried to stay in our industry. SAP Business Data Cloud opens up new ways to integrate external data quickly – which was still unimaginable for us a few years ago.”

This customer response builds on a successful beta program. The SAP received positive feedback from customers who consistently achieved advantages, including an improvement in data models by 20 to 50 percent. In addition, all Beta customers agreed that they can use SAP Business Data Cloud to pull greater benefits from their existing investments in SAP DataSphere and DataBricks.

SAP Business Data Cloud and DataBricks on the road to success

Customers are now able to benefit from DataBricks with SAP DataBricks in SAP Business Data Cloud. The solution is now generally available on Amazon Web Services. This enables us to meet the requirements of a broader circle of data and AI experts and to offer customers more advantages:

• Easier access to all data: Easy connection to context-related SAP data by delta sharing without copying data and merging with third-party data
• Course AI and machine learning: Development of KI and machine learning models with continuous life cycle management from data processing to experiments to implementation
• Pro code environment: Writing of Spark scripts, execution of SQL analyzes or creating machine learning models in every notebook
• Trustworthy database: Covering intelligent findings on a uniform and reliable database that controls and protects data and AI resources

Together, SAP Business AI and SAP DataBricks offer powerful, complementary KI and machine learning functions.

With SAP Business AI, for example, customers can integrate AI directly into their business processes. In addition, customers can use this to develop and expand and expand AI models that are trained with their SAP data and implement them directly in the business processes for a complete decision-making process.

In addition, SAP DataBricks offers a comprehensive environment for data preparation and experiments with machine learning as well as for the creation of prediction, AI and machine learning models. Customers are able to develop individual KI- and Machine learning models based on harmonized SAP and third-party data that are tailored to their special requirements with SAP DataBricks.

First steps with SAP Business Data Cloud

Today the SAP introduces a range of action to make it easier for customers to get started. By April 30, 2026, we offer SAP-DATABRICKS services for a limited period at a reduced price. This we accelerate the workloads of SAP DataBricks, since customers can use more capacity at no additional cost.
