Pioneering cooperation redefines management of company data and opens up the full potential of agent -based AI.

New York, February 13, 2025 – SAP has announced a pioneering solution today with SAP Business Data Cloud that brings together all SAP and third-party data in a company. It creates a reliable database with which companies can make better decisions and make the results of AI more reliable. The solution harmonizes data from the business -critical applications of companies with functions for data engineering and business analyzes. This enables deeper insights into a company and promotes innovations.

SAP Business Data Cloud: Get the best out of AI

With the trend -setting partnership Between SAP and DataBricks, a new era in the management of corporate data begins, in which two market leaders jointly redefine the cooperation between applications and data platforms. In the new solution, DataBricks technologies for data engineering, machine learning and AI workloads are already integrated.

“SAP Business Data Cloud allows you to optimally use business data for corporate AI,” said Christian Klein, CEO of SAP SE. “The groundbreaking solution combines the unprecedented know-how of SAP in business-critical, consistent processes and data with extensive semantics with the outstanding competence of Databricks in Data Engineering. This helps companies get more out of their data.”

“Every company wants to benefit from its data and AI investments,” said Ali Ghodsi, co-founder and CEO of Databricks. By working with SAP, we support companies in combining all their data-regardless of format or storage location-in order to control, analyze and develop subject-specific AI applications on the DataBricks Data Intelligence Platform. “

Use of data products

SAP Business Data Cloud also helps to advance the use and combination of data products in companies. The solution provides fully managed SAP data products for all business processes-from finance, expenditure and delivery data data in SAP S/4HANA and SAP Ariba to training and employee data in SAP-SUCCESSFACTORS solutions. The original business context and semantics are preserved in these data products. They allow to access high -quality data directly without having to extract it with great effort. If, for example, a financial board wants to assess how the increasing inflation affects profitability, SAP Business Data Cloud links external real -time data such as the consumer price index with data products of the financial system such as non -cash accounts or cost centers in order to provide a comprehensive overview of the current financial situation.

SAP Business Data Cloud will also provide so -called Insight apps as an innovation. These use data products and AI models that use real-time data. Complex evaluations and information allow plans in all business areas, including for central corporate analyzes or in finance and in the human resources management.

“SAP Business Data Cloud will help us to draw maximum benefits from our data and to drive innovations throughout the company,” said Markus Hartmann, Corporate Vice President, Head of Business Technology and Head of Regions Europe, APAC and IMEA at Henkel, a multinational company of the consumer goods and glue industry. “The data products of SAP with a variety of semantics and the close integration of DataBricks will improve our own data products. This then puts us in the locations to model scenarios and gain AI-based knowledge. This strengthens the future viability of our data ecosystems.”

Exhaust the full potential of the AI agents

Through SAP Business Data Cloud, Joule, the SAP assistant with a generative AI, can accelerate cross-divisional workflows with the help of AI agents and accelerate decisions in companies. Joule agents use the highest quality business data in the industry and the SAP Knowledge Graph solution, which provides a user-friendly data model. This gives you extensive knowledge of continuous processes and can work together across functional areas in order to solve complex challenges in companies. This is not possible any other technology for creating agents from the start.

In order to highlight today’s announcement and its importance for AI innovations, SAP has also presented a number of immediately applicable joules agents for finance, service, sales and in the future further areas in the SAP Business Suite. For example, agents in finance will work together for a variety of tasks to process damage faster and improve the cash flow. In sales, on the other hand, joules agents will accelerate multi-stage business processes in order to solve clarification cases faster and to do customer inquiries faster.

SAP has also presented a powerful new function for the development of agents today, with which customers can create and implement their own AI agents in addition to the ready-to-use Joule agents of SAP. The decades of SAP experience in business processes has been incorporated into the interactive workflow so that users can provide the most relevant data and valuable business context for their individual agents.
