Grow with SAP in the AWS Marketplace is intended to help customers introduce Cloud ERP quickly and to develop innovative solutions based on generative AI.

Las Vegas – 03.12.2024 The SAP Se and Amazon Web Services, Inc. (AWS), a company of Amazon.com, Inc., announced Grow with SAP on AWS at the AWS RE: Invent event. This enables customers of each size to quickly introduce SAP for Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and at the same time use the reliability, safety and scalability of the most widespread cloud offer in the world.

Cooperation will simplify and accelerate the introduction of SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition and open up the way to innovations based on generative artificial intelligence (AI). Introduction of Cloud ERP with speed, predictability and continuous innovation

ERP solutions equip companies with a central platform to optimize and automate functions such as finance, human resources, supply chains and customer service and thus ensure continuous transparency in all important areas of their business. So far, such implementations have been associated with high initial investments for hardware and software licenses as well as elaborate change management processes for adapting work processes for business-critical processes.

Grow with SAP is a software-as-a-service solution (SaaS) that enables customers to quickly introduce cloud-erp. Customers who implement Grow with SAP on AWS will benefit from a simpler and faster introduction – months instead of years – without preliminary paying costs for provision or licenses. Customers also benefit from standardized billing, the possibility of using their existing AWS credit and obligations, as well as from availability, flexibility and scalability of the cloud.

Grow with SAP will make it easier for customers to optimize their business processes in order to better operate their end customers and facilitate the development of safe applications for generative AI by combining their SAP data with industry-leading services for generative AWS from AWS such as Amazon Dark.

Available via the generative Ki-Hub in SAP AI Core on the SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP) and directly on AWS, Amazon Fedrock offers a wide selection of basic models of leading AI companies, such as AI21 Labs, Anthropic, Cohere, Meta, Mistral AI, Stability AI and Amazon. These functions complement the SAP assistant Joule based on generative AI, which is integrated into all SAP business applications.

“For more than 16 years we have supported thousands of customers in realigning their company by seamless integration of SAP solutions with AWS,” said Ruba Borno, Vice President of the Specialist and Partners area at AWS. “We were the first cloud provider to be certified for the support of the SAP portfolio, and Grow with SAP on AWS stands for our common obligation to make it easy for you to exploit the advantages of cloud-heerp.”

And by using Amazon Darkt via the generative AI Hub from SAP, you can benefit even more from innovations in the field of corporate AI.”

Grow with SAP on AWS uses the AWS Nitro System, a compilation of hardware and software components for high performance, availability, data protection and security for cloud-based workloads. With this system, customers succeed in secure their important SAP ERP applications in the cloud with increased performance, higher reliability and improved data protection and without the restrictions of conventional hardware configurations. In addition, Grow with SAP uses the AWS-Graviton chips on AWS, which consume up to 60 % less energy than comparable Amazon elastic-Cloud instances (EC2) for the same performance.

Faster to the goal: the transformative role of the AI on the way to more sustainability

Grow with SAP on AWS builds on the success of the two companies with Rise with SAP and helps thousands of customers, including Fortune 500 companies such as BBCHyundai, Moderna and the Zurich Insurance Groupto bundle the strengths of SAP and AWS for complex, business -critical workloads.
