Currently, completely new intelligent applications are being created that change the business processes of companies. They integrate real-time data and important business context into AI models to enable quick and well-founded decisions. In contrast to conventional software controlled by strict business rules, these modern applications can learn and adapt to quickly changed customer and market requirements. You recognize changes to optimize processes, require requirements and work with users and AI systems to secure competitive advantages for the company.

But we face the turning point of even more important innovations, which unfortunately only a few companies can fully use. Despite the enormous potential of AI and cloud technologies, the real added value only appears when these innovations are used together with the safe and semantically diverse data that are available in a large extent.

Optimize the results with intelligent applications

At the SAP Sapphire 2025, we have announced a significant further development of SAP Business Data Cloud to exploit the potential of intelligent applications-pre-configured, modular applications that seamlessly integrate trustworthy data products, AI functions and business simulations and meet the requirements of any specialist manager. However, these intelligent applications are not simply analysis tools. These applications go beyond conventional analyzes by automating and linking tasks in both analytical and transactional workflows, so that customers can make decisions and carry out measures in SAP Business Data Cloud.

Today we present new intelligent applications in SAP Business Data Cloud, starting with People intelligence – a solution based on data products for the composition of the workforce, qualifications and remuneration. Based on data from SAP SUCCESSFACTORS, People Intelligence offers HR managers and specialist managers of AI-based recommendations that help you optimize personnel decisions, promote motivation and integration of employees and ensure compliance. The solution includes functions for insights into the composition of the workforce, the remuneration and qualifications. They are all available in the second half of 2025.

The following intelligent applications in SAP Business Data Cloud are available as a technical version:

• Cloud Erp Intelligence: Enables executives with valuable knowledge, business simulations and AI functions to manage uncertainties, increase profitability and achieve sustainability goals. These functions include new data products from central business processes such as production (production execution, resource optimization, etc.), logistics chain (inventory, deliveries, etc.) and contract account (payments, invoicing, etc.).
• Customer Intelligence: Offers sales, service, marketing and trading teams a comprehensive overview of customers in order to recognize requirements in advance, to improve the target group address and create a comprehensive customer profile.
• Finance Intelligence: Enables CFOS and finance teams forecasts and planning in real time and offers networked data across various systems as well as AI-supported detection of inconsistencies.
• Spend Intelligence: Offers decision -makers in the areas of procurement and operational operation an overview of expenses in real time so that they can minimize supplier risks, mark outliers in the expenses and reduce costs.

The basis of every intelligent application in SAP Business Data Cloud forms carefully compiled, managed data products – sentences of structured business data and metadata that accelerate applications and reduce the effort for data integration. Since SAP DataBricks is now available in SAP Business Data Cloud from the start, SAP data products can be used with existing lakehouses without copying.

As part of these technical preliminary versions, we also cancel the provision of hundreds of new data products during 2025 for all areas of the SAP Business Suite – from data products for inventory optimization and delivery analyzes to sustainability and compliance. The first wave includes new data records on EHS and product conformity. Data on footprint will follow over the course of the year.

Increase the benefits of AI with high -quality data

In addition, SAP Business Data Cloud expands its knowledge-graph functions. The Knowledge Graph was originally introduced into SAP Datasphere and can now seamlessly use metadata from SAP and external sources and use models that were published in SAP Knowledge Graph on the SAP BTP. This creates a living model for the structuring and linking of business data and forms a semantic core through which the AI can act more precisely.

In combination with the AI assistant Joule, which is now generally available, users in SAP Business Data Cloud can naturally work with complex business data-without the restrictions of conventional technology. Joule enables the entire variety of corporate information to be used, so that employees in the entire company can draw and act due to important insights based on real business context.

The open data ecosystem: intelligent applications with partners

We are also expanding access to SAP Business Data Cloud to support the next generation of intelligent multi-cloud applications.

From the second quarter, SAP Business Data Cloud is available on AWS. Google Cloud and Microsoft Azure are to follow in the second half of 2025. This improves access to the SAP data base and its use in multi-cloud strategies. In this way, customers receive more flexibility and can perform intelligent workloads wherever they work.

At the same time, the SAP actively works with leading partners to develop further intelligent applications.

• Accenture If six intelligent applications will be launched for essential challenges in the areas of logistics chain, human resources, finance and procurement (schedule for general availability has not yet been determined).
• Adobe and the SAP Develop an application together that brings together marketing data from Adobe and financial and delivery data data from SAP and thus enables a coordination between needs data and operational planning in real time. The application should be available at the end of 2025.
• Palantir and the SAP Enter a partnership to support common customers in switching to the cloud and in modernization programs. Due to the seamless connection between Palantir and SAP Business Data Cloud, customers will be able to establish a harmonized database in their entire corporate landscape. SAP Business Data Cloud, Palantir Foundry and AIP will convert data silos into a trustworthy database that enables interactive cooperation between people and AI systems. Together, companies will help customers such as US authorities to quickly adapt to changes and disorders.
• Thomson Reuters Will develop an intelligent application to help customers master the quickly changing challenges in the current global trade and customs environment. The application is planned for the end of 2025.
• Common customers of Collibra And SAP Business Data Cloud can now run up to 10 times more active data quality jobs in Collibra Data Quality & Observability if you use SAP BDC data. This temporary offer helps to speed up decision -making and strengthen compliance and improve the ability to use AI in the company. It is available until May 30, 2026.

Our cooperation with partners also extends to application cases for data enrichment. Through a new partnership with Moody’s Our common customers can combine data from the SAP debit bookkeeping with the risk data from Moody’s to improve cash flow forecasts, prioritize the collection and reduce the risk of unusual demands. This solution is said to be generally available in the fourth quarter of 2025.
