Walldorf, January 30, 2024 – The SAP Today has introduced various resources, services and financial incentives to help customers switch to the cloud and keep pace with the pace of innovation.
The “Rise With Sap Migration and Modernization” program offers support with two basic problems that companies are faced with when switching to the cloud: scope and costs. It creates the necessary trust to migrate highly complex ERP systems into the cloud by reducing the in-house development of code superfluous, reducing data silos and reducing the complexity of processes.
“Every company needs a cloud-first business strategy,” says Eric van Rossum, Chief Marketing Officer for Cloud-ERP at SAP. “It is more important than ever that customers are now tackling their migration and modernization in order to be able to use the possibilities of current cloud innovations-such as AI and sustainability solutions.”
The program Rise with SAP Migration and Modernization Helps customers to become innovative and to stay, and thus benefit from continuous updates and innovations. After switching to the cloud, SAP takes over the management of customer systems and thus ensures greater reliability, more security and better compliance. This enables customers to use the potential of their business data. Regardless of whether companies use SAP ERP Central Component (SAP ECC) or SAP S/4HANA-the program supports you with digital self-service tools and employee-based services for all steps from preparation to the productive start. Various new services and incentives should also help customers switch to the Rise With SAP solution.
“With the current announcement, the SAP makes it clear that it is aware of the complexity of the challenges with which customers are confronted with the switch to the cloud. At the same time, their previous investments in the existing systems will be taken into account,” explains Christine Grimm from the DSAG board. “With the expansion of Rise with SAP for financial incentives and support, the SAP confirms its promise to actively support customers on their way to the cloud and thus facilitate the change. At DSAG, we appreciate this initiative and the accommodated accommodation of the SAP.
The aim must be to further improve and expand this offer in cooperation with the SAP so that the special requirements and problems of our members are taken into account that opt for a transformation process in the cloud. We would like to make sure that you benefit from the extended possibilities and innovations of Rise with SAP. ”
Financial incentives should compensate for migration and transformation costs
In order to take into account the investments of SAP customers and compensate for their costs for the migration and transformation, SAP announces a temporary offer with which companies can reduce migration costs by up to 50 percent and thus achieve faster added value. By the end of 2024, SAP S/4Hana and SAP-ECC customers will receive special credits when switching to Rise with SAP or Grow SAP, which they can have on maintenance costs, cloud services or cloud sub-settings. This offer applies to SAP S/4HANA Cloud and business area solutions, including for supply chain management, personnel and expenditure management, CRM, business transformation tools and the SAP Business Technology platform with their expansion options.
Consistence and quality thanks to the methodology of Rise with SAP
In order to enable planning security with regard to the project duration, the methodology of Rise with SAP is followed in all implementations by SAP itself or partners. It ensures transparency via project progress and checks whether important milestones have been reached. It is supported by SAP services and experts who ensure that the methodology has been used consistently from the requirement analysis to the productive start, so that customers are ready for innovations. SAP trains and validates partners so that they can use Rise with SAP’s methodology in their projects. Close cooperation with the partners ensures reliable consistency and quality.
The new SAP S/4HANA Cloud Safekeeper
For customers who need more time for a full migration, the new service SAP S/4HANA Cloud Safekeeper is offered. It is tailored to the requirements of customers with older releases from SAP S/4HANA, for which the phase of the Customer-Specific Maintenance begins. With SAP S/4HANA Cloud Safekeeper, customers can equip their systems for an update to the latest version of SAP S/4HANA. SAP S/4HANA Cloud Safekeeper contains upgrade services and optimization of the infrastructure. At the same time, it ensures business continuity by supporting the customer’s system for another two years with updates and patches.
