UNICEF and SAP: Support for young people worldwide

Almost 90 percent of the world’s 1.8 billion young people between the ages of 10 and 24 live in low- and middle-income countries. An estimated 22 percent are neither employed nor in school or in training.

Today there is a huge gap between the digital skills of young people and the needs of employers. This is a major challenge that contributes to high youth unemployment, particularly in the Global South. SAP wants to address this challenge with its SAP Educate to Employ initiative. The aim of the program is to give young people skills for the digital economy. It is accessible digitally through the Youth Agency Marketplace (YOMA), a public-private platform for young people from UNICEF Generation Unlimited. This initiative is part of a broader mission known as UNICEF and SAP: Support for young people worldwide.
