The first of the more than 40 joule agents we have announced on the SAP Sapphire are now available for customers. Various functional areas, these agents support companies in solving clarification cases, maintaining close relationships with their customers, carrying out subsequent activities and doing numerous other tasks. A challenge that many production technicians stand in front of is the immediate access to important information, without having to search extensive help or documentation. Joule with SAP Digital Manufacturing supports you with intuitive language -based search functions. Joule in SAP Digital Manufacturing evaluates queries and immediately provides relevant information from the help of the application as a summary.

This easier access to important specialist knowledge brings with it considerable business advantages. Among other things, companies get 30 % faster insight into their digital manufacturing processes and can thus increase productivity.*

AI-based manufacturing technology in SAP Digital Manufacturing

In SAP Digital Manufacturing, functions are available for AI-based manufacturing technology that enable production technicians efficient management of production processes. With these functions, users can analyze error protocols using AI and thus automatically determine error causes and generate instructions for troubleshooting. Production technicians can also use natural language to create scripting tasks to expand processes.

With a simpler error analysis and scripting position, the time required for the analysis of errors in production processes can be reduced by up to 25 %, while downtime is reduced by 1 %.*

SAP Integrated Business Planning, add-in for Microsoft Excel for AI-based planning

Release as part of the SAP Early Adopter Care program

Supply chain planners can now make workflows much more efficient with the add-in for Microsoft Excel in SAP Integrated Business Planning (SAP IBP). With the functions for AI-supported planning, users can use natural language to generate SAP-IBP formulas without needing extensive technical know-how to the functions and parameters. These intuitive functions enable the seamless integration of custom calculations in planning views.

Companies thus benefit from business advantages, since supply-chain planner can demonstrably increase their productivity in the update of important figures and attributes via Excel Add-in by 10 %.*

Agent for operational planning in the field

Beta-release

With the new agent for operational planning in the field, dispatcher service orders can efficiently plan and optimize by using real -time data, information on the availability of service technicians and intelligent recommendations. The agent submits suggestions on how service technicians can be used for the respective orders at the optimal time and at the right location. This reduces manual effort and the stress on dispatchers. Each proposal is checked by a dispatcher in order to maintain control by humans and simultaneously simplify processes. This “human-in-the-loop” approach ensures precise results and creates trust.

The agent increases the productivity of dispatchers by automating manual tasks, minimizing errors and enables faster and more efficient decisions. Supply chain managers in the area of ​​cell and gene therapy benefit with the SAP Cell and Gene Therapy Orchestration solution, which has been expanded to include AI-based exceptions, from unprecedented transparency and control. If unexpected delays or disorders occur in the process for the patient-related manufacture and delivery, the AI-supported Control Tower recognizes these anomalies and proactively notifies the responsible staff.
