The production, test, and demo tenants of SAP Customer Checkout manager, cloud edition on SAP BTP Public Cloud are already updated to the latest version Release 3.0 2602.

This new release 2602 includes the following highlights:

  • Migration from On-premise Edition to Cloud Edition
    • Starting with SAP Customer Checkout 2.0 Feature Pack 21 PL24 (on-premise edition), a new migration tool will be available in the tools folder of SAP Customer Checkout 2.0 Feature Pack 21 PL24, onwards. This tool allows you to easily migrate key business data (such as Articles, Article Groups, Organizational Structure, Price Lists, Roles, Users, and Gift Cards) from your on-premise SAP Customer Checkout manager system to the SAP Customer Checkout manager, cloud edition system
    • New communication support is available in SAP Customer Checkout manager 2.0 Feature Pack 21 (on-premise edition) to connect to SAP Customer Checkout manager, cloud edition. This enables customers to operate on-premise and cloud systems in parallel and supports a seamless transition to cloud-based operations
    • Update from SAP Customer Checkout point-of-sale 2.0 FP21 version to SAP Customer Checkout point-of-sale, cloud edition 3.0 version is available. It is very important to note that the point-of-sale must be on SAP Customer Checkout point-of-sale 2.0 FP21 before you start the update process. If you update from an older version of point-of-sale, you will end up in an inconsistent state. In the SAP Customer Checkout manager 2.0 Feature Pack 21 (on-premise edition), in the Software app, it is possible to upload the update.zip file with SAP Customer Checkout point-of-sale, cloud edition 3.0 Feature pack 2602, and integrate it with a new SAP Customer Checkout manager, cloud edition version. This update introduces a new property file, “cloud_upgrade.properties”, to help with the cloud upgrade process
  • Self-Checkout User interface
    • The Support menu has been enhanced with detailed software information to improve customer support efficiency
    • New license check dialog is now available to notify users if the POS is unlicensed or if the license is revoked during the sales process
    • New “Customer and Loyalty” configuration enables user interface customization and provides the ability to apply customer-specific and loyalty-related benefits and discounts
    • Under the Users app, a new permission, “Self-Checkout: Scan of Unknown IDs,” has been added. This allows you to control whether a Self-Checkout user can scan unknown IDs or require additional supervisor authentication
    • New Multi-Object Dialog helps identify which object the scanned ID belongs to (e.g., customer or article), allowing the user to select the correct option
    • New “Plugin” scan setting allows integration of plugins with the Self-Checkout system
    • An article image added to the articles in the SAP Customer Checkout manager, cloud edition, is also shown in the Self-Checkout
  • French Certification
    • A new “Fiscal Categories” configuration has been added, tailored for taxes and regulations in France and its territories. This update simplifies tax analysis and reconciliation, improving reporting accuracy
  • Local Tax Calculation Mode for the United States of America (US)
    • A new payment authorization feature allows cashiers to authorize a payment amount using a dedicated button and complete the final capture later, including the option to add a tip
  • Receipt export job is improved with a new format “Excel (Sales item level)” that tracks/exports sales data at the item level.
  • New event group “User authorization” available in the Monitoring app helping you monitor permission approvals and track sensitive POS operations performed by super users, such as receipt returns carried out by cashiers with limited permissions. Records are stored for 30 days
  • New navigation mode is now available for Quick Selections, allowing users to navigate directly to a category or group. This feature is especially helpful for Quick Selections that contain many categories or groups, including those that are hidden, as well as for use on small devices or mobile phones
  • New Based on business date cashing-up calculation option is available that provides more flexible reporting options for locations with cashless operations, as well as for POS systems with automatic end-of-day closing settings
  • New button “Show QR Code” is implemented, it allows staff to display the receipt QR code on both the POS screen and the Customer Display, which customers can scan for quick access to their receipt
  • And many more features
