Welcome back to SAP IPD – What’s New! In this update, we’ll highlight some of the latest enhancements in SAP Integrated Product Development, including improved engineering workflows and new integration touchpoints designed to drive efficiency and collaboration.
Common Functions
Administrators can search teams by user. This enhancement streamlines team management, making it easier to locate and organize teams efficiently in the Manage Teams (New) app.
Formulation
Creating a Primary Output Specification within a Recipe
Product developers can now assign a product category when creating a primary output specification directly within a recipe. This helps with search and categorization.
A new API is available for Formulation that enables users to create, read, and update recipes. The Formulation API also enables the user to read calculation data.
Specification Management
Transfer of mapped attribute property data to new SAP S/4HANA specifications
Product developers can now transfer data values from SAP Integrated Product Development property fields to the mapped properties of a newly created specification in the SAP S/4HANA system. With this we extend the seemless integration between SAP Integrated Product Development and SAP S/4HANA.
Visualization
The Import dialog now includes a new Script option under Import Settings, allowing you to select and run configured scripts during file imports in the Browse application. It enables customers as an example to derive data from the CAD file and use those data to enrich product data in downstream processes. Overall this enhancement supports greater automation of visualizations.
