The first half 2026 release brings another wave of meaningful enhancements to the talent intelligence hub in SAP SuccessFactors, aimed at helping our customers become truly skills-based and make better sense of their skills data. As AI continues to reshape the way we work, the shift toward a skills-based economy is well underway, one where job titles will matter far less than the specific skills, attributes, and abilities employees bring to the table, making the need for a single skills model imperative.

In this release, an enriched job architecture enables organizations to create multi-level job architecture structures and assign skills and competencies at any level, with attributes cascading automatically to associated job roles. Configurable job hierarchies reflect real organizational structures, reducing structural compromises and simplifying setup and adoption. Inherited skills and attributes streamline maintenance, while still allowing for role-level overrides when needed. This also creates clear, transparent role structures that help employees better understand their development and career pathways.

Additionally, we are excited to share certificates as a native attribute type in the talent intelligence hub.  This enables secure storage of certificates, with the option to link them to relevant skills for easy discovery, validation, and reporting. Expiration dates and renewal cycles can be monitored, reducing compliance risks and minimizing manual follow-ups. This unified certificate management brings real benefits for admins, managers, and employees from keeping on top of compliance and resource planning, to supporting career development

The new skills governance UI gives administrators a single, unified interface to manage, standardize, and govern skill data across SAP SuccessFactors and connected third-party applications. Organizations can define governance rules for all incoming skills data to ensure accuracy and alignment, while also simplifying the management of skills libraries with a consistent framework. Whether skills data is imported, manually added, or inferred, it’s validated to ensure a clean, governed source of truth.

Growth portfolio mobile access brings native mobile access to employees, making it easier than ever for frontline workers to view and manage their skills and attributes anytime, anywhere. This improves accessibility and transparency of skills information across the workforce, while supporting broader engagement with talent data through an intuitive mobile experience.
