The Key User Extensibility feature in SAP allows key users to extend the Article Master Maintenance across various business contexts, such as Product Basic Data, Product Plant, and Product Retail Data. This functionality empowers business users to adapt the system to their specific needs without requiring in-depth technical knowledge or coding.
This new feature on Article Master is added starting from SAP S/4Hana 2022 and this Functionality involves the Fiori Apps “Custom Fields and Logic”, App ID F1481.
Business Scenario – Let's assume we need field on the Basic Data of the Article Master called Maximum Packaging Height.
Before you start, ensure all the necessary roles are added to your user.
Open the App and add the Field
now click on Create.
next, go in the edit mode and enable the usage based on the business requirement
Next, Save and Publish the App.
No go the Product Master App
Search for your Article and go the detail view.
Click on your user icon and choose Adapt UI
This will take you the Adapt UI Mode, then right click on the place the new field needs to be added.
and select add Field and choose the new field
Activate the change.
