So, what is Joule Work? Joule Work provides an AI-based user experience that puts the user into the center; and transforms how users work. With Joule Work, users can express what they want to accomplish, and Joule surfaces the right insights, automates routine work, and coordinates AI agents across systems to achieve it – all in one dynamic workspace, on the desktop as well as on mobile. Joule Work acts as an engagement layer that spans across SAP products and beyond and coexists with current experiences provided by pre-defined application UIs.
Our first version of the Joule Work mobile app comes with two main elements: Conversations and Space.

Conversations are AI powered chats with role-based intents, conversation threads, and dynamic response types. Conversations are the main way to interact with the system, users can articulate their needs in a certain context, and Joule will take the required actions or provide the right answers.
The Joule Work mobile app also allows users to have hands-free voice conversations with Joule what is very helpful while being on the go.

Spaces are dynamic, intent-driven workspaces for more complex business problems. They are composed in real time to bring the right data from different systems, tools, and context together for a specific goal, freeing people from working in multiple applications and passive UIs. With the Joule Work mobile app, users can work with their spaces while being away from their desk.

Many of you might wonder, how does the new Joule Work mobile app relate to SAP Mobile Start. The Joule Work mobile app should be seen as an evolution of SAP Mobile Start. It will support both scenarios in the future.
It supports customers who want to explore the new Joule Work offering, as described in this blog with spaces and conversations. For customers running the Joule Work mobile app within their SAP Build Work Zone environment, all core functionality and features remain unchanged, ensuring continuity for both customers and end users with no disruption to existing workflows.
