My name is Daniel Dukes, and I’m on SAP’s Technical Product Marketing team. My primary focus is SAP HANA Cloud. Day to day, I spend a lot of time evangelizing the practicality of our database platform at events and through content published in our Data Professionals community. I’ve been in the SAP ecosystem for close to 25 years with the last 15 years at SAP. Much of my tenure has involved working with in-memory data technology in one form or another – from the SAP BW Accelerator to SAP HANA Cloud.

I am really looking forward to this year in Orlando. Here is a “sneak peek” of my session at 1:00 PM EDT on Tuesday, May 12 – AI database for AI agents and apps: Overview of SAP HANA Cloud | BDC2188.
The current plan is to walk through the AI-related features in SAP HANA Cloud from two angles. The first topic covers how HANA Cloud can enable AI scenarios – e.g., as the data layer for agents and generative AI services. I also plan to review how HANA Cloud uses AI to improve developer and user productivity. Along with an overview of the solution, I also want to discuss the kinds of use cases this database can empower.

It’s a straightforward way to try features yourself without needing a full landscape. After that, I’d suggest working through the hands-on tutorials within the Discovery Center. A third great recommendation is to join other Data Professionals in the SAP Community. Feel free to participate in a place built for those who work with data.
