Joules, extensions

Joule's usability is improved with optimized startup times and the introduction of a cross-thread search function. This allows end users to find information across all conversation threads without having to manually review individual threads. The document grounding feature has also been significantly improved and now supports seamless integration with Google Drive.

With support for up to 8,000 documents per pipeline, scalability has also been greatly improved, allowing large data repositories to be processed and used efficiently.

SAP Joule for Consultants, extensions

Improved display of source information
For SAP Joule for Consultants, the display of source information for all identified sources that the product returns has been improved. Sources have been moved to a separate area on the right-hand side for better clarity and now also include public web search results where applicable (see below).

A new grouping feature has also been added to group references. This update provides users with a more transparent overview of where information comes from. This increases trust and improves traceability for all responses.

To view the sources and image section, click the sources button under each message. The pane opens on the right and contains all the sources grouped.

Enable web search
Administrators can now enable or disable web search for all assigned end users in SAP Joule for Consultants from the control panel.

When enabled, SAP Joule for Consultants considers public web content in its reasoning and cites relevant public sources in answers if they contribute to the answer. This extension provides companies with greater flexibility and transparency by enabling more comprehensive coverage of information while ensuring clear attribution to all sources used.

File uploads in Joule message input
End users can now upload up to ten files directly from the conversational message input field and reference them throughout the conversation.

Supported file types include PDF and TXT. The individual files should not be larger than 10 MB or contain a maximum of 600,000 characters; for PDFs this is a guideline. There is a limit of 100 pages. Larger files can be split into multiple documents. Image files are currently not processed and will not be taken into account. We're working hard to make this feature even more useful for end users. This expansion enables richer, contextual interactions by allowing uploaded documents to be integrated into conversational responses throughout the session. Contents: SAP Enterprise Architecture Reference Library
The data from the SAP Enterprise Architecture Reference Library has been recorded and can be used in conversations. As more data is added, the relevant components can be included in the SAP Joule for Consultants responses. This enables richer, more accurate, and more contextual responses to user queries. Because SAP Enterprise Architecture Reference Library content cannot be referenced via link, the additional content is not listed among the sources, even if reference is made to it.
