In the fast-paced digital landscape of 2025, SAP unveiled its plans for SAP Business Data Cloud as well as SAP HANA Cloud at SAP TechEd 2025, positioning itself as a leading force in data-driven innovation. Building on these announcements, SAP’s latest Hack2Build event explored the full potential of building applications on SAP Business Data Cloud.
The Hack2Build on Building Applications on SAP Business Data Cloud provided an immersive environment for partners to leverage the advanced capabilities of SAP Business Data Cloud as well as HANA Cloud and BTP, thus tapping even into the realm of agentic AI. Equipped with hands-on coaching from SAP experts, participating partners became frontrunners in leveraging cutting-edge technologies, empowering them to transform insights into actionable solutions.
During the Hack2Build initiative, partners engaged in a seven-day hack phase, constructing functional applications that harnessed the power of real-time data analytics, advanced AI-driven business intelligence and actionable insights. The event emphasized seamless integration with SAP and non-SAP systems, and the capability to translate raw data into analytical insights and from there into strategic actions.
The culmination of the event featured a Live Demo Jam, where partners presented their innovative prototypes to a panel of SAP judges. This collaborative event showcased the ingenuity and potential of SAP's latest technology advancements, paving the way for future applications that bridge the gap between data insights and actionable business strategies.
It was again amazing to see how partners turned their innovative solution visions into running prototypes within seven days and delivering even full breakthroughs from sourcing the data through analytical modeling into leveraging the insights in Joule agents. The flywheel is truly turning now!

With that momentum in motion, the judges selected three solutions that stood out across technical completeness, workflow clarity, and customer relevance.
Manufacturers often face unexpected disruptions that reduce operational efficiency and can delay customer deliveries. The Intelligent Manufacturing solution addresses this by using SAP Business Data Cloud and SAP Business Technology Platform to combine data from SAP ERP, SAP Data Products, custom Data Products, machine telemetry, and energy consumption. These data sources are used to train AI models in SAP Databricks, enabling early detection of production orders at risk due to supplier delays, plant failures, equipment issues, lack of resources, or other factors. The solution provides actionable insights through SAP Analytics Cloud and SAP Build, while SAP Build Process Automation triggers real-time notifications for risk mitigation.

cbs solution AI-Driven Dynamic Safety Stock Optimization aims at transforming supply chain resilience using SAP BDC, BTP, and AI. By integrating SAP S/4HANA and SAP IBP data with external market drivers (Oil prices, Forex Rates, & Trade Routes) via SAP Datasphere, the data is harmonized, while predictive models from SAP Databricks assess demand variability, supply risk, and external factors to generate optimal stock recommendations. SAP Analytics Cloud provides simulations, insights, and planning capabilities, while SAP Build Apps triggers the multi-level approval workflow and operationalise decisions back into core systems (SAP S/4HANA). What’s Next
All participating partners now move into a six‑week Build Phase, where they will refine and extend their prototypes with support from SAP product management, Partner Ecosystem Success as well as many other experts in BDC, BTP and AI. This phase will focus on preparing solutions for customer validation and potential go‑to‑market discussions.
