The Learning module needs to be properly connected to BizX, so Users and Administrators can successfully access it and complete their tasks.

Details about the implementation process can be found here: KBA 3209088. SAP Partners can also refer to the SAP SuccessFactors Learning Integration Configuration Guide

There are important call outs to avoid or correct errors that happen when navigating to Learning.

Missing Learning tenant
KBA 3609059: This would be potentially observed during the implementation phase. Learning instance provisioning is now a self-service tool in SAP for Me. Apart from BizX, no other modules are auto provisioned.

Incorrect Learning URL loaded
KBA 2705153: Check whether the Learning button/link being selected is customized, as it can contain an incomplete/incorrect/outdated Learning URL. The correct URL can be found in BizX via the standard Learning navigation options or in SAP for Me by opening the system and checking the “Main URL”.

Unauthorized assertion consumer service: https://******.lms.hr.cloud.sap/learning/saml/SSO@sf_idp_metadata
KBA 3605368: This is caused by incorrect configuration in Authorized SP Assertion Consumer Service Settings. In this case, the expected values are: Assertion Consumer Service > https://domain.lms.hr.cloud.sap/learning/saml/SSO  | Logout Url > https://domain.lms.hr.cloud.sap/learning/saml/SingleLogout.

“Unable to retrieve idp credential@sf_idp_metadata” error when trying to access Learning
KBA 3589551: Please, ask the user to clear the browser’s cache and cookies to resolve it (KBA 2310570).

Locked Learning Administrator sees “Learning Administration” option in “Dashboard” menu for locked Learning Administrator
KBA 3747270: Locking the Learning Administrator doesn’t remove the “Learning Administration” option from the “Dashboard” menu. If the button is clicked, a validation error happens. Either unlock the Learning Administrator account or remove the “Related User” account.

“You do not have the appropriate permissions to access the Learning module” error or being logged out when trying to access Learning
KBA 2461828: It could be related to a user ID mismatch between BizX and Learning. Make sure to confirm the user has the proper Learning permissions in BizX via KBA 2489829.

“The requested operation is not available” error when trying to access Learning
KBA 2590739: Authorized SP Assertion Consumer Service Settings or “baseURL” and/or “metadataProviders.IDP1.value” are incorrectly configured. To review the Authorized SP Assertion Consumer Service Settings, please check KBA 3605368. To review the “baseURL” and “metadataProviders.IDP1.value” settings, please open a case (“LOD-SF-LMS-INT” component), as these configurations are in Learning Administration > System Administration > Configuration > System Configuration > BIZX.

Learning Administration/User UI doesn’t load
KBA 3169042: “successFactorsCompanyID” and/or “metadataProviders.IDP1.value” have an incorrect value. It’ll require a case to analyze and adjust it (“LOD-SF-LMS-INT” component), as these configurations are in Learning Administration > System Administration > Configuration > System Configuration > BIZX.

“company is not valid: companyID@sf_init” error when trying to access Learning Administration after refresh activity
KBA 3577236: This can happen after a refresh. To correct it by yourself, Learning can’t be connected to BizX and Learning native login is required. Otherwise, this needs a case (“LOD-SF-LMS-INT” component), so SAP Support can adjust it.
