Your landscape may be running unmonitored — here's how to change that in 30 minutes.

If you're on SAP S/4HANA Private Cloud as part of your RISE with SAP journey, SAP Cloud ALM is already included in your subscription. No additional license. No extra cost. Your tenant is provisioned and ready.

But if Operations & Monitoring hasn't been activated yet, your cloud ERP landscape is running without visibility — meaning job failures, integration errors, and system exceptions can go undetected until they impact your users and your business.

This post is for you if that's where you are today.

What we're running

A free, 30-minute hands-on activation session — open to all RISE with SAP customers in the Americas who haven't yet activated monitoring in their SAP Cloud ALM tenant.

Our team will guide you through the activation live, step by step, in your own landscape. Come prepared with the prerequisites, and you'll leave the call with your S/4HANA Private Cloud actively monitored.

Why activate now

Today — without monitoring

After activation

Issues surface only after users are impacted

Proactively catch job failures and exceptions before they reach your users

No centralized view of system health

Single dashboard for your full S/4HANA Private Cloud landscape

Root cause analysis is slow and reactive

Real-time alerts and logs cut resolution time significantly

Your SAP Cloud ALM tenant sits idle

You're getting full value from what's already in your contract

Operations & Monitoring is one of the highest-value capabilities in SAP Cloud ALM for keeping your cloud ERP landscape stable, performant, and current. It's purpose-built for S/4HANA Private Cloud — and it's been waiting for you.

Here's what you'll have live in your tenant after the session:

Job & Automation Monitoring — track ABAP jobs, business workflows, and exceptions across your landscape in real time.

Real User Monitoring — see how your users are experiencing the system, with request type performance across RFC, HTTPS, and Dialog channels.

Health Monitoring — a full system health view covering ABAP system heartbeat, workprocesses, response times, active users, and short dumps — all in one place.

What to prepare before joining

Having these ready ensures you can complete activation during the session:

  • Access to your SAP Cloud ALM tenant
  • S/4HANA Private Cloud system credentials
  • Technical user created with the required authorizations
  • Network connectivity confirmed between your system and SAP Cloud ALM
  • SAP Cloud ALM service key downloaded, and setup transaction executed

Check out the complete prerequisites list before joining

Not sure if you're set up? Your SAP contact can help you get there — or reach out to us at sapalmus@sap.com ahead of the session and we'll point you in the right direction.

Who should join

This session is designed for the people who own and operate the landscape:

  • Basis / IT administrators
  • SAP operations leads
  • Cloud Center of Excellence (CoE) teams
  • Managed services / outsourcing teams

One person completing the activation is enough to get your landscape monitored — but bring whoever needs to be in the room.

This is already part of what you have

SAP Cloud ALM is included in your RISE with SAP contract. Your tenant exists. Your entitlement is active. All that remains is switching monitoring on — and we're offering to do that with you, live, in 30 minutes.

Find a date that works and register using the links above.

Have questions before signing up? Reach out to your SAP account team or Customer Success Manager — they can connect you with the right person on the ALM team.
