Prerequisites
- You have the drccApiUrl endpoint from your service binding. The drccApiUrl is a concatenation of host name and path, in the form https://
/ . (See the Getting the URL for a Service Binding section for how to retrieve it.) - You have already configured the OAuth 2.0 client in your business system and noted the configuration (profile) name.
Part 1 — Creating the RFC Connection (SM59)
You create a standard or country/region-specific Remote Function Call (RFC) connection.
- In your business system, open the RFC Destinations (SM59) transaction.
- Choose Create.
- In the Create Destination pop-up, enter a name in the Destination field.
- For Connection Type, select G — HTTP Connection to External Server and confirm.
- On the Technical Settings tab, fill in the fields as follows:
- Go to the Logon & Security tab.
- (Relevant only if you authenticated using OAuth 2.0 and you have SAP S/4HANA 2021 or higher, or SAP S/4HANA Cloud Private Edition.) In the Logon Procedure section, choose OAuth Settings. In the pop-up, for the Profile field, use F4 help to select the configuration name you created when configuring the OAuth 2.0 client.

In the Security Options section, set SSL to Active, then choose the PSE according to your authentication method:

Client Certificate: choose the SSL Client PSE you created to establish trust between the cloud edition and your business system.

OAuth 2.0: choose the SSL Client (Anonymous) PSE.

- Save your entries.
- (Optional) To test the connection, choose the Connection Test tab. The expected status depends on your setup:
Part 2 — Activating the Standard RFC Connection (GCO_RFC_CONF)
Once the destination exists, you activate it.
- In your business system, open the RFC Activation (GCO_RFC_CONF) transaction.
- Choose New Entries.
- In the RFC Destination field, use the value help to select the destination you created in Part 1.
- Confirm the destination and save your entries.
- Use the Display → Change button to switch to edit mode.
- Select the checkbox in the RFC Active column to activate the destination.
- Save your entries.
