The momentum from SAP Sapphire 2026 continues to energize the service community. We are looking forward to bringing autonomous service to life with autonomous AI agents and assistants.  While we look ahead to these innovations, we're also continuing to deliver enhancements to your day-to-day work. This quarter brings a range of updates across SAP Service Cloud designed to simplify everyday service tasks and help service teams spend less time on process and more time on customers.

Email Editor Built For the AI-first World

Email is one of the biggest opportunities for AI to improve productivity.  A new, native email editor is now available in SAP Service Cloud—built from the ground up for an AI-first world.  Today, it gives service reps a modern, streamlined writing experience with the formatting and productivity features they expect. AI capabilities are coming next, built directly into the email experience — helping teams respond faster while keeping every response personal and on point.

Better Customer Service with Voice AI Through the Parloa Partnership

At Sapphire, we announced an expanded partnership with Parloa, bringing together conversational AI and SAP Service Cloud to help organizations deliver more seamless customer service experiences. By connecting AI-powered customer interactions with SAP business processes and data, companies can provide faster, more contextual support across voice and digital channels. Available today, this partnership represents an important step toward more intelligent and increasingly autonomous service operations.

Sales Objects: Broader Support in the Service Agent Workspace

Service interactions often reveal new customer needs and valuable buying signals. Based on strong customer demand, your service reps can now create leads, opportunities, appointments, and sales orders directly from Customer Hub—without leaving their workspace. This helps organizations bridge the gap between service and sales, deliver a more seamless customer experience and capture cross-sell and upsell opportunities.

Case Management: Enhanced Compliance, Usability and Quality

Case management now includes new capabilities that improve compliance, usability, and data quality.
– Organizations can now define data retention rules by case type, enabling more granular governance and compliance with business and regulatory requirements.

Integrations: Service Contracts and Service Orders

Show Service Contract and Item Information in Service Orders
Service reps can now view associated service contract and contract item information directly within service orders. This enhancement provides service teams with easier access to customer agreement details while processing service orders.

Service Contract determination
Service Cloud can now automatically determine the relevant service contract when a service order is created. This helps service teams quickly identify applicable customer agreements, entitlements, and contract coverage without manual searches, ensuring that service activities are aligned with the customer's contractual commitments.

Embedded AI: Simpler Administration And Richer Insights for Similar Cases

You can now discover and manage AI capabilities more easily with a redesigned, tile-based configuration interface. Admins can quickly access feature settings and gain a clearer overview of available AI capabilities. For service agents, Similar Case Recommendations now provide additional case details directly in the recommendation view, enabling a better understanding of recommended cases and helping agents quickly identify the most useful information.

Service order: improved usability and extensions

Working with service orders is now easier with enhancements that improve visibility and navigation.
Visual filters help service reps quickly focus on relevant service orders and detailed item views provide greater transparency into service order content. You can also create home page KPI cards for service orders and service quotes.

Enhanced integration capabilities help connect service orders across business applications. Administrators can create external links to related records in external systems using external ID's. We have also added support for multiple external SAP systems providing greater flexibility for organizations operating across connected SAP landscapes.

Utilities: SAP Sales Cloud and SAP Service Cloud utilities add-on

As announced at Sapphire, a new add-on for utilities is now available, covering sales processes in addition to the service processes already supported. This new add-on helps utility companies reduce friction between sales and service, increase efficiency and elevate customer experience.
