How to Push Custom Data into embedded Analytics Cloud (eSAC) When Standard Tables are Not Available

One of the most common questions from SAP Sales Cloud V2, SAP Service Cloud V2, and Enterprise Service Management (ESM) customers is:

“How can I report on custom business data that is not available in the standard analytics data sources?”

Historically, Embedded SAP Analytics Cloud (eSAC) in SAP Sales & Service Cloud V2 relied primarily on standard business data sources such as Opportunities, Accounts, Contacts, Activities, Cases, and Leads. While these cover many reporting scenarios, organizations often extend SAP's standard processes using Custom Services and Custom Business Objects to support unique business requirements.

With the introduction of Analytics Support for Custom Service Entities, this enables customers to expose custom service data directly to Embedded SAC, allowing organizations to create dashboards, KPIs, and reports based on their own business entities.

Step 1 : Create a Custom Service using CAP Model

refer the blog : Using CAP = Custom Services for SAP Sales & Service Cloud v2 + ESM

Step 2 : Enable Analytics Relevance in CAP Metadata JSON

This is the most important step.
While creating or updating the custom service entity:

Step 3 : Create an eSAC Model

Design Stories
→ Create Story
→ Query Designer

 

Key Limitations

Before designing large-scale solutions, be aware of current restrictions:

Restricted Availability

Analytics support for custom service entities is currently delivered as a restricted release. Customers interested in using the feature must request via ticket through component CEC-CRM-ANA

Data Volume Limits

SAP currently enforces:

3 Million Records
across all analytics-relevant custom service entities combined. Older records may need to be deleted before new records are loaded when the limit is reached

Business Benefits

Organizations can now:

  • Report on custom business processes
  • Bring non-standard business entities into eSAC
  • Create executive dashboards without external data warehouses
  • Combine custom and standard SAP data
  • Accelerate analytics delivery with minimal development effort
