In this blog we describe how the shelf-life planning capabilities of S/4HANA PCE PP/DS can be extended such that minimum required shelf-life constraints can be modelled per individual sales order item. Such sales order item specific shelf-life requirements can then be planned in PP/DS based on standard planning approaches. 

The system enhancement is based on S/4HANA key user extensibility (no-code enhancement) and  sales order CIF enhancements. The described solution can be used in all industries that require shelf-life as a constraint and have to handle customer specific shelf-life requirements.
