There's a question that comes up in almost every sustainability conversation I have, and the answer is rarely comfortable.

“What were your Scope 1 emissions last quarter — by facility?”

For a large majority of Oil & Gas companies today, the honest answer is: “we'll get back to you in a few months”. Not because they don't care — but because the data exists in a dozen disconnected places: production systems, field spreadsheets, manual ERP exports, sensor logs. Reconciling it into a defensible number takes weeks of manual work, and by the time the report is out, the data is already stale.
