In this post, we go one level deeper and take a closer look at what drives all three capabilities: the Compliance Data Foundation.
This foundation is your single source of truth for regulatory execution. At its core: Compliance Requirements, Purposes, and Content that work together across three key capabilities: Product Marketability & Component Compliance, Dangerous Goods Management and Compliance Document Management.
The already mentioned Compliance Requirements are the semantic anchor, and deliverable building blocks that capture the obligations from a regulation, part of a regulation, or a stakeholder requirement. Think of examples like “Labeling according to GHS,” or “Dangerous Goods Classification according to ADN or IATA.”
Compliance Requirements are assigned to a product through Compliance Purposes which are self-configurable bundles that group the relevant compliance requirements based on a specific obligation a company needs to fulfill. A Compliance Purpose can be created for a country, a region, a customer group, a product type, or a business process. They are highly flexible and can be defined however your use case demands.
