Getting a Verification Code to Register Your Peppol Participant for Slovakia

Note: The steps and processes described here are accurate as of the time of writing, but it's essential to stay updated with any changes on the tax authority portal or the test tool for PFS that may affect this procedure.

If you are a Slovakian company and you use SAP Document and Reporting Compliance, cloud edition to exchange electronic documents with your business partners and the tax authority, you must register a Peppol participant for your company as part of the setup. One of the prerequisites for creating this participant is a verification code. The verification code confirms that you have selected SAP SE as your certified delivery service provider, making SAP your access point in the Peppol network.

How you obtain the verification code depends on whether you use it for production or for test purposes. In this blog, you will learn how to obtain the verification code for both.

Obtaining the Verification Code for Production Purposes

For production purposes, you obtain the verification code by registering on the Slovak Financial Administration portal and selecting SAP SE as your certified delivery service provider.

1. Open the tax authority portal at https://vpds.financnasprava.sk/.
2. Navigate to the page listing the accredited service providers.
3. Choose SAP SE as your accredited service provider and initiate the registration of your participant by selecting the corresponding action in the portal.

After the request has been successfully submitted, the Financial Administration sends a message to your inbox in the Personal Internet Zone (Osobná internetová zóna – OIZ). The message is titled Submission of a request for selection of a certified delivery service provider (Odoslanie žiadosti pre výber certifikovaného poskytovateľa doručovacej služby).

1. Inside this message, copy the Verification data / verification code (Verifikačný údaj): <#EncryptedData#> and use it as the verification code when creating the participant for your company for production purposes.

Important: If you have email notifications enabled, the notification e-mail only informs you that a new message has been delivered to your Financial Administration mailbox. The verification code itself is not included in the notification email — you must open the message directly in OIZ to retrieve it.

Obtaining the Verification Code for Test Purposes

For testing your integration with the Slovak Financial Administration's test environment (tPFS), you generate the verification code yourself using a dedicated test tool.

1. Open the Test tools for PFS (Testovacie nástroje PFS) at overtoken.sk/generate. The page provides tools for testing integration with the Slovak Financial Administration test environment (tPFS).
2. Sign in by clicking Sign in (Prihlásiť sa). If prompted, continue using the configured Google account.
3. Scroll to the section Generate a standalone verification token (data) (Vygenerovať samostatný verifikačný token (údaj)).
4. Enter the Service provider TIN for SAP (DIČ poskytovateľa služby): DE143454214
5. Enter your Entity TIN (DIČ subjektu — 10 digits).
6. Click Generate verification token (data) (Vygenerovať verifikačný token (údaj)).
7. Copy the generated verification token and use it as the verification code when creating the participant for your company for test purposes.
