We are excited to announce a significant improvement to the data collection process for SAP Readiness Check analyses.
The SAP Readiness Check data collection report now includes a Target Server/Server Group selection field on the analysis selection screen. Users can choose a specific application server or server group from the available batch infrastructure, and all applicable background jobs triggered by the analysis run will be submitted to that target.
Also, when a target is selected, the Financial Data Quality (FDQ) sub-check automatically recalculates its recommended parallel job count based on the work processes available on that server or group, helping users configure an optimal setup before scheduling.
Please note that certain data collectors require prerequisite SAP Note versions or software component patch levels in order for the target server functionality to work:
- Financial Data Quality (FDQ): SAP Note 2972792, version 83 or higher
- HANA Sizing: SAP Note 3675084
- Data Volume Management (DVM): ST-PI 740 SP 33 or higher, and St-A/PI 01X_731 SP 1 or higher
These requirements are also captured within the change log of SAP Note 2758146.
This enhancement gives Basis teams and project administrators greater control over where the Readiness Check analysis jobs execute, making it easy to dedicate a specific server or batch group to the collection workload and avoid resource contention during productive hours.
As always, we look forward to receiving your feedback.
