I hope you found my last blog on Collision Handling insightful. Just 4-5 months after the release of Collision Handling functionality, more than 90 customers are already live with the feature. This is a great testament to the rapid adoption and growing maturity of the SAP SuccessFactors Time Tracking product.

Over the last few releases, we have been investing heavily in supporting the blue-collar workforce across manufacturing, logistics, retail, healthcare, and field operations. Our objective is to simplify complex time management processes while providing customers with the flexibility needed to support their unique business requirements.

With the 2H 2026 release, I am very happy to share that SAP SuccessFactors Time Tracking brings automated assignment of shifts to the right workers at the right time based on their real-time clock-in and clock-out data. The flexibility of SuccessFactors Business Rules allows customers to easily configure the solution according to their business needs, automating shift assignment and the downstream calculation of shift premiums. This enhancement is called Dynamic Shift Assignment: a mechanism that automatically determines which shift  an employee worked based on their actual clock-in and clock-out data, without requiring any advance shift planning in the system.
