SAP SuccessFactors Compensation & Variable Pay continues to evolve with each release — expanding compensation planning, improving administrator features, and strengthening the connection between performance and pay. This release delivers meaningful improvements across flexibility, operational reliability, and the overall compensation experience.

Updates cover compensation planning, statement management, and executive review — including configuration, the planner experience, administrator tooling, and reporting.

Read on to explore what's new.

Multiple PM Rating and Comp Rating Fields in Compensation Templates

SAP SuccessFactors Compensation now supports multiple PM Rating and Comp Rating fields within a single compensation template, allowing each field to be independently mapped to a different rating source — a Performance Management form, Employee Profile import, import key, or Employee Central-based mapping. Compensation Administrators can configure up to four PM Rating and Comp Rating fields on the Salary component, and one additional PM Rating and Comp Rating field on the Stock component, across both Compensation Templates and Total Compensation Templates. Planners can view all configured ratings directly in the worksheet, apply them as filters in the worksheet and Executive Review, include them in guideline rule calculations, and access them in all export formats. Organizations can now drive compensation decisions from multiple performance dimensions all within a single planning experience. Details on this topic are covered in this Blog

Compensation Statement Acknowledgment

Compensation administrators can now enable a formal acknowledgement feature for compensation and variable pay statements, giving employees a direct way to confirm they have reviewed their statement from within SAP SuccessFactors. Previously, organizations had no system-generated proof of employee receipt — tracking relied on email chains, physical signatures, or manager-collected confirmations that were difficult to audit at scale. With this feature, employees see an Acknowledge button on their statement, and once confirmed, a banner records the action for the employee and their direct manager. The enhanced Reward Statement Generation Report adds two new columns — Acknowledgement Required and Acknowledgement Status— so HR and administrators have a complete, auditable view of who has reviewed their statement, who has not, and whether the acknowledgement feature was active at the time of generation, all within a single report export. Simultaneous Executive Review Export in XLSX Format

Executive Review data can now be exported to XLSX format by multiple users at the same time. Previously, running concurrent XLSX exports could cause jobs to fail unpredictably — leaving administrators to manually monitor job status and re-run exports, a particular pain point for organizations with large employee populations. Compensation administrators can now trigger Executive Review exports simultaneously without failure or the need to stagger requests, making the process more reliable during peak planning periods.
