The SAP SuccessFactors 2H 2026 release marks an important milestone. It is the first major wave of innovation since SAP announced its vision for Autonomous HCM, where AI orchestrates end-to-end processes, drives context-aware decisions, and optimizes workforce operations at scale. In this release, we are delivering hundreds of new capabilities and enhancements across the suite that will bring this vision to life.
Here’s a snapshot of some of the key innovations, aligned to stages of the employee lifecycle:
Plan & Hire
Recruiting
- Internal hires can now route automatically from SmartRecruiters for SAP SuccessFactors to SAP SuccessFactors Onboarding and SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central, with sync status visible in real time, keeping recruiting and core HR data aligned. Additionally, business rules now connect SmartRecruiters solutions data to configurable automation, removing manual steps across the hiring workflow.
- Winston Match results are now fully reportable in Report Builder, including overall match bands and dimension-level detail across jobs and applications. Recruiters can see exactly how AI-driven candidate rankings affect pipeline progression, connect scoring to hiring outcomes, and review or explain AI-assisted decisions with confidence, making it easier to identify the candidates most likely to succeed. Winston Screen builds on this by applying repeatable, configurable screening questions consistently across roles, helping recruiters narrow large applicant pools more efficiently, with results reportable in Report Builder alongside the full pipeline.
Winston Screen
- A new agentic scheduling capability, available through Winston Companion, enables interviews to be booked with a single prompt, replacing fragmented manual coordination. And during interviews, the new Interview Summary Agent automatically captures and posts a structured interview summary to the candidate profile. This agent works directly with Zoom, Google Meet, Microsoft Teams, and Gong.

Onboarding
- The Onboarding Assistant helps HR teams deliver personalized new hire experiences at scale through agentic capabilities that provide intelligent prioritization, simplified task creation, and automated custom form conversion. The assistant delivers AI-orchestrated task tracking that coordinates and tracks onboarding actions, highlights clear next best steps, and surfaces bottlenecks or risks before they delay onboarding progress. To further support day-one readiness, HR teams can also use the assistant to easily create unique onboarding tasks and localized, custom multilingual forms.

Manage & Pay
Core HR
- The HR Operations Assistant allows organizations to manage workforce data and employee changes more intelligently. The assistant proactively identifies and resolves data issues, streamlines employment and organizational changes, accelerates workflows, optimizes position management, and helps safeguard payroll-related transactions. AI agents continuously monitor employee, job, position, and payroll-related data for inconsistencies, surfacing issues with context and guided resolution before they impact downstream processes.
HR Operations Assistant
- New organizational modeling capabilities in SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central provide HR teams and business leaders with a collaborative environment to create structured modeling projects, document business rationale, and manage stakeholder participation through role-based access. Multiple simulation versions allow teams to visualize structural changes using drag-and-drop interactions for targeted restructures or a list view for mass updates. Once the preferred scenario is finalized, a controlled cascading save automatically applies updates across every affected organizational object in SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central.
Organizational Modeling in SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central
- A new agentic U.S. benefits administration console in SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central Global Benefits gives administrators a unified view of benefits processes, helping them identify issues faster, streamline enrollment management, and improve productivity.
Payroll
- The Payroll Assistant serves as an AI partner for both payroll administrators and employees, delivering guidance, insights, and support when it’s needed most. For payroll administrators, the assistant can answer complex questions, provide context-aware guidance, identify alerts, and take corrective action before alerts escalate into errors. It continuously monitors payroll data to proactively identify anomalies and compliance gaps, replacing reactive audits with real-time intelligence. Employees can interact directly with the assistant to understand their pay and resolve paycheck questions without raising a support ticket.
Payroll Assistant
- Ukraine is now available as a native payroll country version in SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central Payroll, bringing native coverage to 54 countries, plus seven additional countries supported by partners.
Workforce management
- Organizations can now leverage a consolidated timesheet experience across SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition and SAP SuccessFactors Time Tracking, transforming how time is managed across the project lifecycle. It gives consultants a single experience to record both project work and HR attendance, eliminating double entry. Work schedules, absences, and compliance rules sync automatically from SAP SuccessFactors solutions, while approved time flows directly into payroll and project billing without manual reconciliation. The result is a connected experience across every phase from resource planning through time capture to revenue recognition in one intelligent, integrated suite.
Consolidated timesheet
HR service delivery
- The HR Service Assistant helps employees get answers and complete tasks across HR, payroll, time, and knowledge services. Employees receive cited, policy-grounded responses sourced from company documentation and external providers. The assistant guides employees through actions such as checking leave balances, submitting time-off requests, or receiving personalized answers to policy-related questions.
HR Service Assistant
- For HR service teams, the Case Management Assistant brings AI-generated case summaries, contextual insights, and next-best-action recommendations directly into the SAP SuccessFactors Enterprise Service Management solution workflow.
- A redesigned self-service landing page in SAP SuccessFactors Enterprise Service Management provides a single, intuitive destination where employees can search for help, track open cases, and check request status without switching tools or waiting for support. Additionally, a generative knowledge creation capability automatically drafts and refines knowledge base articles from closed cases, turning today’s solutions into tomorrow’s self-service answers.
Platform
- Our suite-first strategy advances further with deeper SAP Task Center app integration for unified workflows and our SAP-managed integration between SAP SuccessFactors HCM and the SAP S/4HANA Finance solution. This removes the need for you to provision and maintain the integration yourself. And with new ISO 27701 (privacy information management) and ISO 42001 (AI management systems) certifications, we further strengthen our commitment to global compliance and responsible AI.
Develop & Grow
Performance and goals
- The Performance & Goals Assistant creates strategically aligned goals and continuously monitors progress and business impact. It also supports managers in preparing for performance check-ins and reviews, helping drive fair, data-driven decisions. Real-time insights and bias detection enable more objective evaluations and support equitable rating discussions. By highlighting potential equity concerns throughout the calibration process, it helps organizations improve transparency, strengthen consistency, and build greater employee trust.
Performance & Goals Assistant
Career and talent development
- The Career and Talent Development Assistant creates strategically aligned development plans and cultivates healthy talent pipelines. AI agents continuously monitor individual development needs and provide tailored career guidance, helping ensure talent readiness and engagement.
Career and Talent Development Assistant
- The Skills Governance Agent (part of the HR Operations Assistant) continuously analyzes the skills library and recommends concrete actions for HR teams to keep the data current which means less manual work, stronger talent-to-opportunity matching, and more reliable skills reporting. Additionally, the Job Architecture Management Agent (also part of the HR Operations Assistant) monitors job architecture, comparing the skills roles require against what employees have, what recruiters are hiring for, and what’s in the job profiles, flagging where roles are outdated or missing. The result is a living job architecture, rather than a point-in-time document.
Skills Governance Agent
- Certificates from the talent intelligence hub can now be linked to job roles within job profile builder. This enhances employee career path visibility, strengthens qualification tracking, and improves governance of role-based certification requirements. Additionally, customers can now import bulk certificate master data records and employee certificate portfolios, eliminating manual entry for high volumes of certificates.
Learning
- The Learning Assistant equips organizations with improved compliance monitoring, assignment creation, learning journeys, and skills-based learning recommendations delivered in a more automated and personalized way. It helps guide the right learning actions at the right time for employees, managers, and admins. From monitoring compliance training deadlines and notifying learners and managers to identifying team skill gaps and recommending targeted learning, the assistant connects compliance, upskilling, and development in one experience.
Learning Assistant
- WalkMe Learning Arc, an AI-native content creation solution, is now integrated with SAP SuccessFactors Learning. With WalkMe Learning Arc, admins and managers can take advantage of AI to generate structure and draft content, simulations, and self-checks, all while suggesting metadata and producing finished courses that publish back into SAP SuccessFactors Learning.
