SAP integrates corporate AI throughout the cloud portfolio

Innovations of SAP Business AI and cooperation with Google Cloud, Meta, Microsoft, Mistral Ai and Nvidia as partners give creativity a thrust.


Orlando, Florida – At the annual SAP Sapphire customer conference, SAP introduced innovations and partnerships for generative AI that open up completely new opportunities in the age of artificial intelligence. SAP is anchored in the cloud portfolio for the business-critical processes of companies around the world and closes partnerships with companies that set new standards with AI. This gives customers completely new insights worldwide and promotes the development of creative ideas.

“The innovations for corporate AI, which we announce at the SAP Sapphire in 2024, will redefine the processing of business processes,” says Christian Klein, CEO and member of the SAP SE board. “Today’s announcements and partnerships around AI underline how important it is to provide groundbreaking technologies that provide real results. This will offer customers the necessary flexibility and strengthen their innovation spirit to be successful in today’s fast -moving business environment.”

AI especially for companies

SAP embeds corporate AI in all business solutions and thus opens up valuable insights that help you achieve better results and solve problems even more creative. This includes, for example, reports generated by AI in SAP-SUCCESSFACTORS solutions that offer managers to remedy responsible information for discussions. Another example is forecast functions in SAP Sales Cloud solutions, which show which combinations of sales employees and products can best increase sales. In addition, via the generative AI Hub in the SAP Business Technology Platform, large language models from Amazon Web Services, Meta and Mistral AI can now be accessed. With this function in the infrastructure SAP AI Core, it is even easier to develop applications for generative AI for SAP applications.

SAP closes partnership with Mistral Ai, one of the leading providers of LLMS

The SAP assistant Joule is expanded to the company’s entire solution portfolio. Joule is based on generative AI, quickly arranges data from different systems and puts it in a context to speed up automation and improve decision -making. Joule was introduced in the SAP Successfactors solutions last autumn and is now embedded in solutions from SAP S/4HANA Cloud and among others in SAP Build and the SAP Integration Suite. By the end of the year, the assistant will also be available in the SAP Ariba and SAP Analytics Cloud solutions. At the SAP Sapphire, SAP also announced plans to expand Joule’s scope of services through integration into Microsoft Copilot in order to provide even more valuable insights. This close, mutual integration gives users a uniform application environment for their daily tasks and seamless access to information from interactions with business applications in SAP systems and Microsoft 365.

The increasing importance of corporate AI can also be seen in the fact that SAP is even more oriented towards the principles of relevant, reliable and responsible AI, in the SAP a pioneering role. SAP introduces the ten basic principles of the UNESCO recommendation to the SAP Sapphire to ethics of artificial intelligence. These are intended to ensure that in the development and use of AI technologies that respect human rights, promoted justice and supported sustainable development.

Partnerships for further innovations

SAP works with leading technology companies to take new ground with a generant AI at the company level. In addition to our expanded cooperation with AWS and Microsoft, partnerships with Google Cloud, Meta, Mistral Ai and Nvidia ensure that SAP can draw great benefits from AI-enabled technology in order to quickly create innovations and to enable more varied results.

Google Cloud

SAP and Google Cloud are expanding their partnership so that customers with corporate AI can better predict and reduce risks in supply chains. In this way, interruptions can be minimized and optimal existing heights. The two companies will integrate Joule and the SAP SAP Integrated Business Planning for Supply Chain in the AI assistant based on Gemini models from Google Cloud and into the database of Google Cloud Cortex Framework.

Meta

SAP will use META LLAMA 3 to create scripts that design strongly adapted analysis applications in SAP Analytics Cloud. The next generation of the next generation of Meta is characterized by linguistic nuances and context understanding and is therefore ideal for concrete implementation.

Mistral Ai

SAP will also include new large voice models from Mistral Ai – a global company based in Paris that specializes in generative AI – in the generative AI Hub in SAP AI Core.

Nvidia

SAP and the Nvidia Corporation drive a cross -product partnership ahead*, in the context of which the latest technologies are integrated into business applications:

  • While SAP Joule trains as AI assistant for implementations of the Rise With SAP solution, the highly developed AI models from NVIDIA searches for SAP advisory materials in order to be able to provide relevant and precise answers to questions about implementation.
  • While SAP Joule embedds ABAP Cloud in the development model to generate ABAP code for SAP developers, the accelerated infrastructure from NVIDIA will operate, scale and control the SAP model for generative AI to generate abap code.
  • While SAP generative AI integrates into the SAP Intelligent Product Recommendation solution, the programming interfaces of NVIDIA OMNIVERSE Cloud enable the simulation of complex manufacturing products and configurations as well as digital twins in industry.

Cloud technology for more flexibility and sustainability

In order to be successful in the AI age, companies must be in the cloud. SAP makes it easier for customers to switch with initiatives that help them find the partners who have the necessary know-how for complex transformations with SAP S/4HANA Cloud. Other cloud innovations presented on the SAP Sapphire also include functions that support companies worldwide in measuring, controlling and implementing their sustainability strategies. With the solutions SAP Sustainability Control Tower and SAP Sustainability Footprint Management2-Fußprint on a broad basis follow and better comply with legal standards.
