“Transfer Individual Talent Data from Inactive to Active Employment”- This enhancement introduces a person-centric Manage Individual Talent Data Transfer capability, enabling administrators to seamlessly migrate an employee’s complete talent history in a single action from inactive to active employment.
Key Highlights
The new functionality inaugurates an advanced functionality within SAP SuccessFactors Performance & Goals, facilitating the seamless migration of an individual’s complete historical talent data from an inactive employment record to their current active employment in a single, streamlined process. This ensures uninterrupted continuity of performance insights across employment transitions, thereby supporting holistic talent management and organizational agility.
Business Use Cases
When an employee permanently relocates to a host country, a new user ID is assigned to them. During this transition, the employee requires access to their talent data originally associated with their home country user ID. In such instances, administrators or HR personnel can facilitate the seamless transfer of the employee’s talent data from their inactive home country user ID to the newly active host country user ID, ensuring uninterrupted access to their complete talent history.
How to Configure
- You have enabled Employee Central to manage multiple employments.
- You have enabled at least one of these modules: Goal Management, Performance Management, 360 Reviews, Continuous Performance Management, Calibration, and Career Development.
- You have enabled the data transfer tool through Admin Center > Company System and Logo Settings > Enable Individual Talent Data Transfer from Inactive to Active Employment.
- You're recommended to configure employment differentiators, which helps you identify and select the correct source and target employments for data transfer.
- The subject person for data transfer should have at least one inactive employment and one active employment.
- To ensure the person's new employment and their stakeholders have the permission to access the transferred data, make sure module-specific permissions are correctly granted with right target population. For details, refer to the Guide topic in the Related Information section.
Role-Based Permission Pre-requisites
- With the Administrator Permissions –> Manage System Properties –> Company System and Logo Settings permission, you have enabled the data transfer tool through Admin Center –> Company System and Logo Settings –> Enable Individual Talent Data Transfer from Inactive to Active Employment.
- You have the Administrator Permissions –> Manage Individual Talent Data Transfer permission to use the tool.
- You have the User Permissions –> General User Permission –> User Search permission for the specified target population.
- You have the Administrator Permissions Manage Hires –> Include Inactive Employees in the search permission to select inactive employments as the source for data transfer.
- You have the permission to view the status, title, and assignmentDisplayHeader (if you've configured the fields in the data modal) under User Permissions Employee Data Employee Profile.
- The subject person for data transfer should have at least one inactive employment and one active employment.
