To advance our vision of an autonomous payroll, we are introducing four specialized Payroll Agents for the SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central Payroll (ECP) solution in this first half 2026 release.

You can now benefit from automations across 1) payroll and time explanations, 2) alert resolution, 3) rule creation, and 4) data integration. These AI agents detect, explain, and resolve issues before they impact your workforce. They streamline how payroll teams prepare and run payroll by orchestrating checks across time, workflow, and payroll controls.

Payroll Explanation Agent

With this update, the Payroll Explanation Agent connects Payroll and Time sheet data into one unified explanation, giving employees a clear, easy‑to‑understand view of their pay statements and the time data behind them. Employees get crisp, clear and fast answers without relying on HR. This enhances employee experience, builds trust and confidence in payroll accuracy and lowers operational costs. PostNL, one of our customers based in Netherlands, expects 80% cost reduction in handling payroll questions with an AI agent. Additionally, support now extends to Brazil and Canada, building on the 2025 release in the USA, UK, Australia, Mexico, the Netherlands, and Germany.

Payroll Alert Resolution Agent

This agent streamlines how payroll administrators manage Payroll Control Center (PCC) alerts by turning complex investigations into a guided, intelligent workflow. It explains why alerts occur, identifies the most likely root causes, and recommends prioritized fixes directly within the payroll control center. Administrators can also create new validation rules using natural‑language through a conversational interface.

Payroll Validation Rule Agent

This rule creation agent introduces a conversational, AI‑assisted way for payroll administrators to build new validation rules directly within the Payroll Control Center. Instead of navigating technical configuration steps, admins simply describe the rule they need in natural language.

Employee Data Integration Agent

The agent helps payroll administrator resolve payroll replication errors by translating complex technical messages into clear, SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central–focused guidance. It identifies impacted EC fields based on ECP mappings and provides step‑by‑step recommendations for fixing data issues. This release addresses manual corrections.

For example, a missing cost center for an employee. Instead of leaving the admin to interpret a technical error message, the agent analyzes organizational data and suggests the most likely cost center—based on where the employee’s peers in the same department and reporting to the same manager are assigned.

The result: cleaner data, fewer payroll interruptions, and far less time spent resolving issues after the fact.
