As we enter Q2 2026 we take a look at some of the exciting features coming your way with the QRC2 2026 release of SAP Analytics Cloud. Let's dive in!
Asymmetric Reporting
Want to create tables that show different time periods for different versions, such as actuals and forecast?
In this release of the SAP Analytics Cloud, add in for Microsoft Excel, we introduce the asymmetric filter function allows you to filter on multiple dimension and member combinations with a single filter, letting you display different combinations of dimensions and members in the same table. Key Capabilities include:
- Apply distinct visibility filters per structure member
- Hide unwanted parent levels across an entire hierarchical dimension.
- Define exactly which hierarchy levels are visible, with automatic expansion to the highest selected level
- Show or hide total rows and columns per structure member
- Choose specific members to display for flat dimensions and navigational attributes
- Automatically remove members excluded by the calculation context

Composite Versioning
In QRC2 2026 we now allow composite designers to manage up to 10 versions of a composite. Composite designers are now able to restore or revert to previous versions through the version history whenever needed. Noting that only one active version can be used in a story.
This new feature reduces disruption for story viewers by allowing quick recovery to a stable version of a composite and improves reliability and safety when updating composite artifacts.
Job Monitor: inclusion of Data Export API jobs
A new Data Export API tab has been introduced in the job monitor where you can now check the status of your data extraction and delta calculation jobs. This valuable addition provides enhanced visibility of your API jobs that use the Data Export Service.
Data Panel
In this quarter we are excited to introduce the decoupled Data Panel, which can be accessed independently of the Builder Panel and Styling Panel. Now users will have a simplified right-hand toolbar for quick access to the Data Panel, Builder Panel, and Styling Panel. Key capabilities include:
- Dynamic updates to the Data Panel based on the selected visualization and its underlying data model
- Overview of all data models used within the story
- Guided experience to add data from models, datasets, data sources, or files—with the flexibility to add data at any time
- Quick navigation to the modeler and data analyzer directly from the Data Panel
- Drag-and-drop support from the Data Panel to the Builder Panel or directly into visualizations
Recent and favorites in open and save dialogs
With this release users now can access Recent and Favorites directly within file open/save dialogs. These tabs allow quick access to recently used or starred stories, models, and folders, removing the need to navigate the file repository hierarchy. This feature works across stories, data actions, and other workflows. Key capabilities include:
- Recent View: Displays a list of files recently accessed (created, edited, or opened).
- Favorites View: Shows folders or files you have marked as a favorite, facilitating faster access.
- Save Dialogs: Enables saving items directly into designated Favorite folders.
The Recent and Favorites views can be utilized in the Files repository and when using the Browse function to open/save content.
