The Q1 2026 release of SAP Commerce Cloud represents a significant step forward in our ongoing commitment to deliver intelligent, unified commerce solutions. This release brings expanded AI capabilities, modernized payment flexibility, and new monetization opportunities – enabling brands to innovate faster and deliver exceptional customer experiences.

At the center of this innovation is our effort to remove complexity across the commerce value chain. Whether optimizing payments, automating product content, or enabling subscription-driven business models, SAP Commerce Cloud continues to support enterprises in creating seamless digital journeys with agility
and scale.

Checkout.com Integration

The introduction of our dedicated integration marks a transformative upgrade to the payment landscape in SAP Commerce Cloud. Powered through the SAP Commerce Cloud, open payment framework, this integration delivers a high-performance payment experience enriched with AI-driven optimization. Intelligent Acceptance analyzes each transaction and dynamically chooses the best routing, exemption, and retry strategies to maximize approval rates. With deep global acquiring capabilities, advanced fraud tools, and real-time account updates, merchants gain a robust payment foundation that drives higher revenue and operational efficiency.

Beyond the Checkout.com integration, the Open Payment Framework itself has been enhanced to support broader payment needs across all PSPs. Merchants can now offer Buy Now Pay Later options through providers such as Klarna, enabling greater flexibility and higher conversion. Split payment support allows customers to combine gift cards and digital payment methods in a single transaction, removing checkout barriers and reducing drop-off. Additionally, the new PCI DSS 4 compliance ensures a strengthened security posture and regulatory readiness for global operations.

AI Media Attachments

This release also introduces AI Media Attachments, which dramatically increase creation. By extracting structured information from product manuals, spec sheets, and PDFs, the system generates enriched and accurate product descriptions automatically. This improves product data quality, enhances search relevance, and reduces manual workload for merchandising teams.

SAP Subscription & Billing for Composable Storefront

Finally, we are expanding support for subscription-based business models through native SAP Subscription & Billing integration for Composable Storefront. With a new API and routing mechanism acting as a service provider interface, brands can now implement recurring revenue offerings more easily, leveraging headless storefront capabilities with reduced integration complexity and faster time-to-value.

The Q1 2026 release underscores SAP’s commitment to delivering a commerce platform that is flexible, intelligent, and built for long-term growth. By harmonizing advanced AI, modernized payments, and scalable architecture, SAP Commerce Cloud empowers businesses to stay ahead in an increasingly dynamic digital world.
