Introduction

Over the past few weeks I've been getting a fair amount of questions about the Licence Usage Report that was added to the Compensation Home screen in one of the 2025 release. Here is a quick visual explanation of how it works and how things are calculated on top of the existing documentation. 

Recording

In this 6 minutes recording we do a demonstration where we edit different compensation and variable pay templates to see how it impacts the Licence Usage Report.

Conclusion

Archiving worksheets will not lead them to drop off the count. Only inactivating a template will but we don't recommend doing it unless there is a good reason for it (if your company downsized a lot then most likely the employees that are not with the company anymore are now Terminated in EC and fall off the licence count as a consequence as per example C in the first screenshot above).
