Revolutionizing Product Master Data
Were bringing a new level of clarity and efficiency to how you manage your products.
Thumbnail support for product attachments in the Manage Product Master Data app
Imagine identifying the right product document at a single glance. Now you can. We're introducing thumbnail previews for product attachments directly within the Manage Product Master Data app. By integrating with Harmonized Document Management (HDM), we've created a unified, visual-first experience. This means you no longer have to open individual files to find the image or drawing you need. This enhancement significantly accelerates product master data maintenance, increases your productivity, and provides essential visual context that improves data clarity.
Supporting product variant configuration data maintenance via Product Master API
Integration just got simpler and more powerful. This release extends the Product Master API to fully support the creation and update of Advanced Variant Configuration (AVC) data. You can now maintain this complex data through a single, modern RESTful API, eliminating the need to juggle multiple legacy interfaces like IDOCs or SOAP. This not only reduces your development and maintenance costs but also aligns your architecture with SAPs strategic direction, ensuring a future-proof, clean-core compliant system.
Business partner data controller and purpose: new SAP Fiori app (migration tool) for mass assignment and update
Ensuring data privacy compliance across thousands of business partners can be a monumental task. With our new SAP Fiori app, you can now effortlessly identify partners with missing data controller and purpose assignments. The app allows you to export these records, make updates easily in Microsoft Excel even using an auto-derive function for implicit assignments and then import the file for a final mass update. This tool is a game-changer for executing health checks and ensuring your data privacy posture is consistently strong.
Business Partner Data Controller and Purpose: Enablement of Data-category “Payment Cards”
We are taking data privacy to the next level. You can now enable granular authorization checks for the “Payment Cards” data category. This feature ensures that users can only access or maintain sensitive payment card information if they have the proper authorization profile linked to a legitimate business purpose. This delivers on our promise of “Data Privacy by design and default,” giving you incremental, precise control over your most sensitive business partner data.
Business partner data controller and purpose: enablement of replication of data-category payment cards
In a multi-system landscape, maintaining data privacy during replication is critical. Now, you can ensure that the “Payment Cards” data category is replicated securely. The system checks that the data category is enabled and that a matching purpose is configured in both the source and target systems before any data is exchanged. This capability, supported in our Business Partner APIs, enhances clarity and control over how and where personal data is processed across your entire enterprise.
Business Partner FIORI Apps – UX improvements (table/list layout, sorting etc)
Your user experience is our priority. We've made significant UX improvements to the Manage Customer Master and Manage Supplier Master Fiori apps to make working with large datasets faster and more intuitive than ever. You'll notice that data loads without delay, the UI remains responsive, and scrolling is smooth. The grid layout is stable, with fixed headers that remain visible as you scroll, allowing you to navigate vast amounts of information with ease and efficiency.
Business partner support with Joule: read access logging (RAL) enablement and response generation
SAP's AI copilot, Joule, is now even more powerful and secure. You can now use Joule to search and display sensitive fields of a Business Partner, which was previously not possible. With Read Access Logging (RAL) enabled, this sensitive data is displayed securely, and you gain a complete audit log of who has accessed what information and when. This allows you to leverage the speed of AI for insights while maintaining the highest standards of data security and accountability.
Business Partner FIORI Apps Extensibility via Adaption Project in SAPUI5
Personalize your workspace without compromising stability. You can now use the SAPUI5 Adaptation Project to extend key Business Partner Fiori apps like Manage Business Partner Master Data. This powerful capability allows you to tailor applications to your specific business needs creating an application variant without changing the original code. The result is a more personalized and streamlined interface that helps users work more efficiently, all while remaining fully upgrade-stable.
Watch-list screening Integration in Business Partner Web-service (SOAP)
Strengthen your compliance posture with enhanced integration. The Business Partner SOAP web services now include screening-related fields from SAP Watch List Screening. This enables you to maintain and replicate the screening status of your customers and suppliers across systems. By displaying an aggregated screening status directly within the API response, you can better automate and assure legal compliance with sanctioned-party list regulations.
Addition of natural name information in CDS views of I_Customer and I_Supplier
Clarity is key. With this feature, the customer and supplier name fields in the I_Customer and I_Supplier CDS views are greatly improved. Instead of truncated text, you will now see the full name of an organization or the properly formatted full name of a person. Any apps or data extractions that use these CDS views will now return these complete, natural names, significantly improving the quality and readability of your data.
Driving Insight with Smarter Analytics
We are also transforming how you gain insights from your data.
New SAP Fiori app migrate variants and bookmarks
We want to ensure your transition to our modern reporting tools is seamless. The new “Migrate Variants and Bookmarks” Fiori app allows you to protect your personalized settings from legacy Web Dynpro Grid reports. End users can now bring their saved variants and bookmarks into the new Multidimensional Data Analysis (MDA) applications, reducing the workload of rebuilding reports and speeding up the adoption of our latest analytics tools.
Smart business runtime environment with AI-generated summaries
Get to the “why” behind your data faster than ever before. This incredible new feature allows you to generate textual summaries for your drilldown reports with a single click. Whether for a specific view or an entire report, these AI-assisted summaries provide concise, contextual insights into your KPIs and reports. This accelerates decision-making, reduces the need for manual data interpretation, and makes it easy to share key takeaways with stakeholders.
