SAP Field Service and Asset Management 2608 sharpens capacity planning: absences now reduce available capacity, and schedulers can view workload at daily granularity and rebalance it across regions or work centers. The Service Map moves onto the Dispatching Board, so dispatchers can see technician routes and crew locations without switching apps. Customer Self-Service scheduling gets configurable auto-scheduling policies, AI-generated summaries can be tailored by user group, and dispatchers can now mass-edit and bulk-close activities. Screen Configuration ties into the org structure, and technicians can search inside Smartform chapters using text, voice, barcode, or OCR. Three short demos show it all.
