Bringing HR into the flow of work is at the heart of what we do with the SAP SuccessFactors app for Microsoft Teams. Instead of switching tools, employees and managers can handle their day-to-day HR tasks — requesting time off, giving feedback, acting on approvals and goals — right where they already collaborate, inside Microsoft Teams.

Here's an overall feature highlight with a short demo recording in case you are not familar with this whole solution – E2E flow demo recording

With the 2H 2026 release, we've shipped a set of enhancements focused on transparency, flexibility, and a smoother everyday experience. Here are the highlights:

🗓️ See the real impact before you submit — Deduction on Request Time Off

The Request Time Off quick action now shows a dedicated Deduction field alongside the requested duration. Employees see exactly how much will be deducted from their time account — separate from what they request — so there are no surprises, fewer mistakes, and fewer follow-ups with HR. This is especially helpful for complex leave scenarios where the deduction differs from the requested duration.

💬A better Continuous Feedback experience

Requesting and giving feedback is now clearer and more flexible: the topic is split into Topic Name and Topic Description, users can add up to three questions (or remove the ones they don't need), and when a request originates from the SuccessFactors activity list, the related activity and its linked goals are shown right in Teams. Messages referencing “activity” or “goal” can also be customized.Sarahhu_1-1791964502449.PngSarahhu_2-1791964509704.Png

🔐Simpler permissions — Feature-Level Consent for Calendar Sync

Admins can now grant the required permissions on behalf of users. Once consent is in place, people can sync absences and holidays to their calendars without going through a separate consent flow each time — one less step, a smoother experience.

✏️More message customization

We've expanded customization across more quick actions and notifications — including Manage My Cases, Sync Absences/Holidays to Calendar, and Delegate My Workflows (toggle labels, section headings, delegation options, field labels, and more). Tailor the wording to your organization's terminology and tone.

✅Mark Goal as Complete — now as a notification and in the Home Tab

Employees get timely notifications and can act on goals that are approaching their due date or overdue, directly in Teams. If a goal isn't completed yet, it stays in the Home Tab → To-Do section — consistent with the SAP SuccessFactors Home Page experience.

A couple of things customers often ask:

  • Can I customize the app's name and logo? Yes — the app name and icon can be customized through the Teams Admin Center (see Microsoft's documentation).
  • Do you support multiple tenants? One SuccessFactors tenant → multiple Microsoft tenants is supported today, configurable directly in the Work Tech configuration. Multiple SuccessFactors tenants → one Microsoft tenant is in progress, targeted for later this year.

Get started If you haven't rolled it out yet, the SAP SuccessFactors app for Microsoft Teams is available to set up through your Work Tech configuration. Bring your HR processes into the flow of work and let your people get things done without leaving Teams.
