SAP optimizes corporate AI with role-based assistants in joules who coordinate agents across business areas
Las Vegas, October 6, 2025 -At the first “SAP Connect” event, SAP shows how the integration of AI, data and applications opens up significant added value for companies. The SAP innovations are once again setting new standards when processing business processes. The innovations include a new network of roles-based AI assistants who increase the performance of users, a growing data ecosystem for deeper insights into companies and software that has ahead of disruptions in supply chains.
“In order to be successful in an inconsistent market environment, companies need more than a patchwork of different best-of-breed applications,” said Muhammad Alam, member of the SAP SE, SAP Product & Engineering board. “Our announcements today illustrate how the SAP Business Suite enables more intelligent decisions, faster implementation and scalable transformation with the interaction of AI, data and applications.”
AI and users work closely together
SAP further strengthens the AI assistant Joule as a driving force for the added value of the SAP Business Suite. Based on the applications and data of the entire SAP Business Suite, SAP presents a new generation of role-based, process-oriented AI assistants in joules who understand the business context. Each AI assistant is designed to support users in their special role in the company. These assistants use the agents that match the respective task and configure, combine and control so that users can concentrate on gaining valuable knowledge and increasing their productivity.
SAP also provides joules agents for The individual business areas before. For example, a new agent for foreign trade classification suggests suitable customs tariff numbers and statistical goods numbers to ensure compliance with legal regulations. Three new joule agents in the SAP SUCCESSFACTORS portfolio edit routine inquiries in human resources and offer personnel analyzes in natural language to increase productivity and improve decision-making. A new joule agent for offer analyzes in SAP Ariba solutions compares supplier offers at total costs. He shows conflicts, opens up new insights that are often lost in manual processes and enables faster procurement decisions.
Data without limits
In order to benefit from AI, data is required, which are often isolated in different systems. At SAP Connect, SAP overcomes these hurdles with SAP Business Data Cloud Connect. The solution links SAP Business Data Cloud safely with partner platforms for a mutual river immediately applicable data products across corporate and technical limits.
Data is provided without redundant copies and remain safe in SAP systems. Customers can access them directly in their existing data platforms. The business context is retained. The result: less data silos, simpler data flows and no data duplication – only trustworthy data products that are exactly where they are needed.
SAP also announced that Databricks and Google Cloud are the first partners for SAP Business Data Cloud Connect. More will follow. With these partnerships, customers receive faster access to data products for analyzes and AI, so that teams can gain new insights even faster and easier from raw data in real time.
Applications implement data in measures
The unique selling point of SAP is corporate applications in which data is generated and AI-supported knowledge is gained. SAP Supply Chain Orchestration is a new native AI solution that combines the strengths of joules with a knowledge of a knowledge graph in order to recognize risks in real-time with upstream suppliers in multi-stage supply chains and to react to them with coordinated measures. This enables customers to reduce costs and ensure intact supply chains. The new SAP Engagement Cloud solution uses business -critical context to personalize interactions with customers, suppliers and other stakeholders. And the innovative portfolio SAP Ariba Procurement is one of the few native AI solutions that customers benefit from intelligent functions in every phase of expenditure management, from finding sources to dialogue with suppliers.
Overall, these innovations of the SAP Business Suite begin a new era in which a self -reinforcing system of AI, data and applications makes companies intelligent, faster and more resistant.
