SAP NEWSBYTE – SAP SE (NYSE: SAP) and Syngenta, a global leader in agricultural innovation, today announced a multi-year strategic technology partnership. The goal is to accelerate AI-powered innovation across Syngenta’s businesses worldwide.
The partnership integrates artificial intelligence into Syngenta’s business processes, modernizing operations and enabling significantly faster innovation cycles through data analytics from manufacturing and supply chain to products and services for farmers worldwide.
The agricultural sector faces major challenges in the face of climate changes, complex supply chains and global uncertainties. Through the company-wide use of AI-supported tools, Syngenta will be even better positioned to contribute to feeding a global population that will grow to ten billion people by 2050. At the same time, the company accelerates innovation, increases its operational resilience and creates the foundation to implement effective change at scale.

The expansion of an AI-centered operating model for the agricultural sector

The company’s goal is to advance innovation more quickly, strengthen its leading role in the agricultural industry and make processes more resilient to fluctuations.
With the SAP Business Data Cloud, Syngenta creates a unified, secure and scalable database that is essential for real-time decision-making and the integration of AI. Combined with SAP Business AI and AI-powered tools like the digital assistant Joule, the company can make more informed and faster decisions, increase operational performance, accelerate innovation and deliver better products and services to farmers worldwide – all while maintaining control over and ensuring the protection of their own data.
