The Campari Group has reached an important milestone in its digital transformation with the successful go-live of SAP Cloud ERP Private.
The Campari Group, based in Milan, is one of the world's most important companies in the spirits sector. With over 50 premium brands in its portfolio – including Aperol, Campari, Espolòn, Wild Turkey, Courvoisier and Grand Marnier – the beverage manufacturer markets its products in more than 190 countries and operates 24 production sites worldwide.
“To keep up with the innovations of SAP Cloud ERP Private and the integrated AI capabilities, we chose RISE with SAP,” said José Silva, Group Head of IT at Campari Group. “Today we are able to adapt our processes to business developments, optimize planning and make our supply chain more efficient. This is how we ensure smooth, global product distribution. The switch to a centralized process model enables us to improve productivity and sustainably reduce total operating costs.”
With cloud ERP, AI and data-driven planning, Campari is setting new standards for digital transformation in the consumer goods industry
With the go-live at Campari Group, a consistent digital architecture will be established that is based on a central transformation backbone, embedded AI, a uniform database and IT governance:
- The Campari Group puts its core business areas – finance, supply chain, marketing and human resources – on a common basis. To do this, it uses the SAP solutions Analytics Cloud, Integrated Business Planning and Datasphere as well as the SAP Business Technology Platform. This creates an integrated foundation for planning, analysis and the development of new applications.
- The AI embedded in SAP solutions supports the company in optimizing processes and relieving employees. SAP Joule is integrated into the HR software SAP SuccessFactors. The AI-powered assistant helps employees set and pursue their goals. And in SAP Concur, Joule ensures that your travel expense reports are processed automatically. Thanks to the AI-supported functions, orders and payments are recorded smoothly. This allows better decisions to be made and operational costs to be reduced.
- Campari Group is also introducing the SAP Business Data Cloud solution to bring together data from SAP's own systems and third-party providers under one roof. This way, the company always receives up-to-date, relevant insights without affecting core business logic.
- Last but not least, Campari Group has also introduced SAP LeanIX solutions to map dependencies between applications, processes and business owners. This enables more agile and informed decision-making.
“Campari is one of our best reference customers in the food and beverage sector and an excellent example of how SAP solutions can transform organizational and production processes,” emphasized Carla Masperi, Managing Director of SAP Italy. “By combining cloud ERP with AI and data-driven planning, Campari is setting new standards for digital transformation in the consumer goods industry.”
