At SAP Sapphire 2026, SAP important innovations in SAP Cloud ALM presented. This includes seven new assistants for migration and modernization. They cover systems analysis, custom code, data management, configuration, business processes, testing and implementation.
All are embedded in the agent-driven toolchain and help reduce the burden of ERP migrations. SAP Cloud ALM also serves as a central platform for operational monitoring of AI agents in the new SAP AI Agent Hub. This allows customers to track agent sessions, monitor goal achievement, and manage the entire lifecycle of AI agents in their corporate landscape. This opens up new opportunities for customers to transform their SAP landscape. SAP Cloud ALM forms the basis for this.
AI-driven transformation takes center stage
These announcements bring AI-driven transformation into focus, and are particularly relevant because standard maintenance for SAP Solution Manager ends on December 31, 2027*. Many customers are already switching to SAP Cloud ALM in order to remain competitive and future-proof. SAP recommends completing the transition to SAP Cloud ALM before this date.
We are proud that SAP Solution Manager has provided outstanding support to thousands of customers for over two decades. As a core part of SAP's support offerings, the solution has provided all the necessary governance, monitoring and lifecycle management capabilities required to support business-critical landscapes.
After 25 years, the business environment for which the solution was developed has fundamentally changed. Today, companies are continually innovating, scaling globally, deploying AI, ensuring a clean core system, and achieving business results at unprecedented speeds. Market expectations have also changed. Technology stacks run on a cloud-ready architecture and enterprise revenue potential has increased exponentially. These circumstances require a fundamentally different approach and functionality for application lifecycle management. SAP Cloud ALM was developed precisely with this in mind. As a native cloud solution that comes with SAP Enterprise Support or any SAP cloud subscription, it closes the gaps modern businesses face in an increasingly dynamic digital landscape.

The end of standard maintenance for SAP Solution Manager is itself a call to action, but is not the primary business concern. The real reason to switch is the value that SAP Cloud ALM brings: faster deployments, AI-powered and increasingly autonomous operations, ongoing feature set innovations, lower total cost of ownership – and a platform designed from the ground up for modern cloud environments. As every digital touchpoint around you is modernized and optimized for added value, your ALM landscape shouldn't be left behind.
